spin, spin, spin. jac held the joint in her hand and sat in the computer chair, twirling in circles out of pure boredom. in most cases she would have hidden herself away in the basement or her bedroom, or out in the backyard with bambi, but today she just felt like getting off her ass. jac felt like the world would just keep spinning forever, even though she knew it wouldn't. a squeal escaped her lips as she felt herself fly for what felt like forever until she hit the ground, not too far from the chair. "owwwwww," she whined, covering her face with one hand as she continued to just lay there.
"KESSSS!" jac giggled, staring at the joint, which had miraculously stayed in her grasp. she sighed heavily, looking up at the ceiling and attempting to count all the little dots on it. once she reached ten, she stopped and started again, and repeated that process for ages as she waited for kes to get to her. one down side of the giant house, jac was one of the most impatient people around, and that house took time to get around. hence why she usually just hung around in the basement or her room. much less effort with connecting bathrooms and no need to go from place to place.

it was feeding time in the saroyan household, which was usually a big production and took kes nearly two hours to do. with twelve different pets to feed, spread out across the enormous mansion and five acres of land he owned, just locating them all was a task in itself. he'd fed all the outdoor pets, which quite amused him, because they were a, dangerous and b, fun to watch eat. when his anaconda, polly and jac's tiger, who he'd nicknamed anny, were all fed and, headed inside. the big house had more rooms than were absolutely necessary and it honestly reminded kes of a hotel, but he didn't care and he had the money for it. if anyone ever needed a place to live, they had a room at kes's house. he liked his money and he liked to spend it, end of story.
Walking back inside, he was assaulted by molly, his cute little serval, his favorite pet, and quickly fed her and the emperor scorpion that was lounging on the couch. He'd barely made it up the stairs when he heard jac scream his name. He was not high enough to deal with her screaming. He walked up the rest of the stairs and cursed the fact that her bedroom had to be so far down the hall. Yes, they lived together. Jac was Kes's very best friend and he loved her to death. She was just about.. no she was the only person that Kes could say he loved and actually mean it. throwing open the door to her room, kes rolled his eyes at the sight before him. he walked over to her and snatched the joint from her hand, taking several drags off it. " the fuck'd you want? i was feeding the animals. "

one thing that jac was exceptionally good at was annoying the shit out of kes when it was least convenient. she liked to consider it her not-so-hidden talent. it wasn't really to bother him as much as just because she thought it was fun to see him get all flustered when she knew he wouldn't really hurt her. he'd taken her in when she was sixteen, and after three years of living with kes it was obvious that he had gained a trust in her that she never held towards anyone else. after everyone you love leaves, it's kind of impossible to trust anybody, let alone let them close enough to say that you love them. with kes it was always different. at first as a fatherly-ish figure, but that changed as he became her very best friend. her very best friend who she happened to find rather attractive, no matter how flamingly gay he was.
jac didn't even blink when kes took the joint, she kind of figured he would have anyway. "i fell." simple, obvious, and annoying. that was exactly how she did it. when she was sober, it was kind of scary to believe she even had a sense of humor most of the time, other than some sick twisted one that involved hobos and a lot of blood. she had her good highs and bad ones, and she damn well was going to take advantage of the good ones; like that very moment. "can you help me up?" a false pout spread itself across her face, down to her large blue-green eyes that she knew just how to use in a cute puppy dog way. "pleaaase?" jac smiled widely, reaching her arms out above her.
