ariana riese watched as the first hints of daylight peaked over the mediterranean, periwinkle blue and soft yellow skimming over the water. she had hardly slept the previous night, it was nearly impossible with the perfect man lying next to her, the one man she never thought she'd find. she had such little belief in the idea that two people could be together forever, that she hardly looked for someone that could potentially make her happy for the rest of her life. throughout high school, flirted a lot, dated around, had a lot of boyfriends. but then, it meant nothing. none of the relationships did. they were just pieces of scrap, ready to be tossed to the side when the time came. they meant absolutely nothing, they were absolutely worthless. but then, she was a child. immature. innocent. naive. she knew nothing of relationships, of their meaning, of their worth. that's why she let so many of them slip through her fingers without a care in the world. but then again, maybe there was a reason why she was so relaxed about her old relationships. after all, they led her to gabriel.
a year ago, if someone had told her that at that time next year, she would be sitting on a bluff that hung over the mediterranean sea, watching the sun rise, her perfect fiance inside the house, she would have laughed. just..laughed. the idea was foolish, to her eighteen year old brain, that in just one year, her life could completely change. all because of one guy. because she finally opened up to someone, finally let herself just be..real, her life was flipped upside down. she felt like everything had moved so fast, the first date, the first kiss, the days spent together, the nights spent together, the engagement.. it was all over before she could blink, before she could breathe. not that she wasn’t happy with all of this. no..at this point in her life, she was the happiest she’d been in years. and i don’t mean that happy that you get on your birthday, or when you see your very best friend for the first time in years. it was the kind of happiness that came from butterflies in your stomach, your heart racing, tender kisses, gentle touches. no other happiness compared.
a soft smile played across ariana’s lips as she sat on a cushioned chair, a thin, flowing blanket wrapped around her, even thinner sleeping clothes rested on her body. it was a natural reaction for her now, as she thought about gabriel, about everything he meant to her. it was a little foolish, to think this much about a person. selfish, maybe, to want him all to herself. but she didn’t care; not in the least. he was everything to her..everything. he still gave her stomach butterflies whenever she saw him, his touch still made her heart skip a beat. and she had an inclination that these feelings wouldn’t go away any time soon. her eyes shifted from the mesmerizing horizon to her hand as her index finger traced along the ring on her left hand, feeling the small grooves, as she had the night he gave it to her. it felt much too delicate, too fragile, like it would suddenly crumble around her, the only remains being a silver dusting on the cold tile. ariana shivered as a cool morning breeze swept through the air, her arms automatically hugging the blanket tighter to her body. she suddenly craved the warmth she knew was back inside, in the bed, waiting for her. but she was determined, on her first day in italy, to watch the sun rise. she wanted to see this from somewhere else in the world, to make sure that it looked the same everywhere. that no matter where you went, the sun would still rise, the sun would still set. everything was in balance.

gabriel had always wanted to get married, have children, have a family of his very own. that idea had been put inside his head a very long time ago when, as a child, he had had to take care of his little brothers and sisters to help his mother out. however, it was not simply to please his parents that he wanted a family. he had always dreamed of having his own children to offer them everything in the world. even though it could not be seen at the very first glance, gabriel was a really caring and protective person who would basically have done anything for his parents and friends. anything. and this applied even more to his newfound fiancée, ariana. you see, the girl was absolutely everything gabriel had ever been looking for in a woman to take for wife. she was an outgoing, bubbly young woman who simply loved life and gabriel could not have asked for more than actually just that. he would have done anything to make her happy. if she had wanted to go to the very end of the world, he would have taken her. as of now, it was what was the most important thing to him in his life. well, along with his family, of course. this explained why they were in italy right now. he had wanted to show her exactly where he came from, exactly who he was when he was in his element. and what better place to show her just that then his hometown? he had thought this would be a good idea. plus, this was a really good thing to also see how they would do living together in the same space for more than a night or two. so far, they had never spent all their time alone together. this was the occasion to see if they really were meant for one another. he did not need any kind of reassuring that he was doing the right thing, however. he simply knew it. he knew that he wanted to spend the rest of his years on this planet with her. he knew he wanted to build a future with her, a family. it had been a hard night for gabriel so far. they had gotten here late in the evening and, of course, had had some fun after getting settled in in their hotel room. no matter how hard he had tried to fall asleep afterwards, he simply could not. the emotions that had been filling his soul for the past months he had spent with her where simply starting to become too much for him to handle. the love he felt towards her was overwhelming him. not in a way that he was not able to control it anymore. in a way that he would not have been able to stop loving her. however, he did not want to ever stop loving her. in his entire life, this was definitely the only thing that truly felt right, that was definitely made for him to grasp and never let go of. he never was going to let go of her. he had eventually managed to fall asleep after all of this thinking that had happened through the night. however, it was a light, easily disturbed sleep which was soon ended by her standing and going outside. even if his eyes were slow to open, he knew that she was not with him anymore and he was not entirely sure that he could handle that. he ruffled his hair as he opened his eyes, yawning and standing up from the bed. he grabbed one of the blankets which had fallen off of their bed the other night and wrapped around his shoulders as he made his way outside to go join her in simply his boxers, slippers, and that blanket. once outside, he held the sides of his blanket in both of his hands and came up behind her, wrapping his arms and the blanket around her. i missed you.. he said quietly, smiling as he kissed softly her cheek and closed his eyes. what are you doing? he continued, reopening his eyes and looking in the direction she currently was. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - credit , to me tagged , for miss ariana noelle riese. music , stuffies. outfit , clickers, bby.words , SEVEN OH FIVE. notes , i missed their cuteness.

in her life, ariana really never had a strong male adult figure. her father left before she was even born, completely erasing himself from her life. even to this point, she knew little to nothing about him, about what he looked like, about what he liked doing. he was always sort of a looming, fuzzy picture to her, everything about him unclear. maybe he was tall, handsome, funny. maybe he was so romantic, that he simply had swept her mother off of his feet, kissing her whenever he could, whispering sweet nothings in her ear. but maybe he was exactly who she thought of him as, a complete loser, who's selfish actions drove him away from his family, abandoning everything. whatever he was, since she was little, ariana knew that she never wanted someone that could ever turn out to be her father. or anything similar to her father. gabriel would be nothing like her father, he would never leave her. he would never dismiss all of this for a foolish desire, for momentary pain. she saw his commitment to family, his overwhelming want to please everyone, to make everyone happy and satisfied, even if it meant sacrificing himself in the process. he was perfect to her, loving, selfless. at every touch, every kiss, every glance, she knew that he was the one she couldn't live without. she wanted to wake up every day with him by her side, to walk down the street with her hand in his, to feel his protective arms around her. she would do whatever it takes to make him happy. to comfort him, to please him, to make him proud of her, to make him smile and laugh. and although she had never really had this inclination before, she wanted to..build something with him. to build a life, build a..family. she wanted to create something beautiful with him, that would tie them impossibly closer. she wanted to give him everything he wanted and more, no matter what.
she bit her lip, hearing soft footsteps from inside the house, sighing quietly. it was early, and she hadn't meant to wake him when she had gotten up. she had tried to be quiet, but honestly, she had known that he was a somewhat light sleeper, at least after..eventful evenings. within a moment, his arms were around her, his gentle lips pressed to her cheek in a tender kiss. she leaned a bit into him, the sudden warmth extremely welcoming. i missed you...
his voice was soft, hushed as he pulled his lips away. she laughed quietly under her breath, turning her head away from the rising sun to press a kiss to his lips lightly. i've only been away for a few minutes.. smirks a bit, gently stroking his arm with her fingertips as she turned back to the scene. it had felt like hours, really. when she wasn't with gabriel, time moved so slowly she could hardly stand it. it was like he was her timekeeper, pushing her forward, keeping her on track. she shivered lightly, despite her warmth, as she heard his smooth voice again. what are you doing? she shrugged a bit, biting the inside of her cheek. watching the sun rise with my perfect fiancée she smiled softly, glancing over at him. she pressed a gentle kiss to his collar bone, the closest thing to her, pressing her cheek against his shoulder.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
