alright so this is the plot that i kinda came up with randomly and it's not hugely detailed really, just an outline, we can tweak and change it and what not if you like. so danny grew up in ireland, and there, he met the first girl he ever loved. we'll call her caitlyn (although her name is up to you), because it's a pretty irish name. anyway, they fell in lust, and she gave in and he got her pregnant. at the time he was seventeen and she was sixteen. now, he asked her to abort it and not wanting to raise a kid on her own, she listened, but regretted it quite a bit afterward, and made him feel guilty for asking her to. he just wasn't ready though, and he wasn't sure if they could handle it. so they were on and off for a while and arguing, but it's years later and they're still together.
so then caitlyn asked if they could move to new york, as she's always been a fan of the big city and he agreed just to keep her happy because by now he'd fallen in love with her. two years later and he's struggling as an unemployed person after being fired from his job at a local resteraunt. he wanted to be a sous chef, but couldn't handle being ordered around, which was a shame as he loved to cook and he was well paid. they're still just together, not married or engaged or anything and they live together in a flat, at the moment. maybe caitlyn wants kids now but he's not sure if they're on the same page, considering he's doubting their relationship too, as he feels like she's always sort of been punishing him for making her have the abortion and what not. so yeah, that's the best i got.
i would enjoy it if they ended up on good terms again, but i invision home life to be a bunch of silly arguments when they try to get on, until they try and go back to how it used to be, staying up talking all night and drinking cheap wine. (i confess, this came to me whilst listening to the script's song - for the first time) so yeah, the end. well, unless you want to take her up! her pb is open (sophia bush is just a suggestion) and she's just gotta be a year younger than he is, which means she'd be twenty. she can have a job or not or whatever that's up to you, but yeah, she's quite a flexible character (:
