this is a guy we're gonna call dexter for now because that's a legit name. dexter and kaytie were friends growing up. he lived next door to her family, and she and her twin sister would go over to his house after school every day. his mom needed the extra money their dad paid her in childcare because she was a single mother who worked the night shift as a waitress. kaytie and dexter were extremely close. they included kaytie's sister when they were playing, but there was always this unspoken rule that kaytie and dexter were closer than kaytie's sister and dexter. well, one day, dexter's mom got this amazing job offer in phoenix, arizona. so they moved. kaytie was heartbroken. but it was just a friendly thing. it wasn't like she had feelings for dexter. back then, boys had cooties. by the time they moved away, kaytie and her sister were ten and could pretty much care for themselves until their dad got home. dexter was thirteen or fourteen. fast forward four years. dexter's mom got relocated back to buffalo. they're moving back into their old house, and kaytie's ecstatic to have her friend back. and that's totally what she thinks it's going to be. they'll be friends again. but when dexter shows up and sees kaytie, dressed in one of her usual outfits (a skirt and sweater set with cowboy boots, her hair curled and pushed neatly back in a headband), he realizes that she's no longer the kid he used to play with. she's hot. he realizes it's a little weird considering he's seventeen or eighteen and she's fourteen. but all of a sudden, he has a crush on her. he's always been this chill, easy going guy, able to flirt with girls, but never really interested in a solid relationship. but he finds himself flustered around kaytie. since she's so much younger, he's not sure how to approach it. she still thinks of him as her playmate, so she has no idea that he feels this way about her. they'll eventually be finals, but i just want to play it out and see how it goes. name, playby, personality are all up to you. he should be seventeen or eighteen. i suppose sixteen would be okay, but he should be a junior or senior in high school.
