[/div] tearing love apart ∞ innocence was something that was hard to come by more and more it seemed in society. kids were growing up too fast, wearing makeup and skinny jeans and listening to songs with lyrics that were way too inappropriate for anyone, especially twelve year olds that were singing along because they liked the tune. it was as if little kids were growing up faster and faster and adults were putting growing up on hold. the world was turning around and luna didn't like it. she didn't fit in with people her age, or with people a year or two younger, either. the only real people that luna could get along with and know what was going on was with kids that were still in elementary school, or with people that were a few years older. she was kind of immature, she knew that, but it was the innocence that made her seem that way. everyone was in such a rush to grow up that their innocence just fell down a drain, but not for luna.
ironic thing about her name was how many people called her luna lovegood. she was a bit on the odd side, always wondering about things that nobody else would ever wonder about. she was innocent, curious, had a crazy imagination. she just wanted to have fun, and gosh darn it she was going to have fun. little things like going to the park on nice days and not hanging out in front of her computer were just what luna did. it helped that her dad had rules about when and why she could be on the computer. she liked the strict house rules, as weird as it sounded. skipping to the swing set at the park, luna sat down and started to pump her legs, giggling as her bright red hair blew back and forth. she was short enough to pull off a younger kid, so she really didn't care how weird she looked. she was going to enjoy her day.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] ALL I EVER WANTED WAS JUST TO MAKE YOU SEE The Words: enough The Outfit: click! The Notes (: ashley was always shy. ever since she was a little girl, she was the quiet, blushing little girl in the corner of the room, not talking to anybody. she tended to stay at home in her primary school days, playing with her own toys, but never inviting people over. why was she this way? ashley, personally, has a few opinions of her own. most of them included her father. at a very young age, ashley was taught to embrace her brilliance, to embrace what she knew that she could accomplish. her father pushed her to her limits with anything (particularly school), and then pulled her away from any possible friends. it was as if this was his master plan; to hide ashley away from the world. but even if it wasn't, by the time she was eleven years old, her habits were to hard to change; they were engrained in her head. life was school, and school was life.
it wasn't often that ashley left her apartment or dorm, even now as she's in university. however, when she did, it was to escape to the park, to let her mind wander a little bit. The sun was still rather high in the sky when ashley stepped out into the. fresh air that existed outside of her apartment. the park wasn't more than a block away from her house, and she figured that a small walk would do her good. with her apricot-peach coloured bag slung over her shoulder, filled with textbooks, her laptop, and every colour high lighter you can think of, she followed the sidewalk, twisting the diamond and sapphire ring on her middle finger. a habit, that shows when she's uncomfortable.
the park, surprisingly, wasn't as full as ashley had expected. of course, there were mums with their kids, dog walkers with their dogs, and the scattered college student, hunched over their keyboards. she smiled a little, glad that she wasn't the only one that was stressed about her summer courses. she looked around once more, trying to spot at least a clear, open space on the grass for her to sit in. however, as she was taking small steps to a particularly nice park of the park, someone caught her eye. luna, a friend of hers, was pumping her legs on the swingset, pushing herself high off the ground. again, she smiled. luna was a good kid, she almost always made ashley smile. she took a wavering step in her friend's direction, unsure if her presence would be appreciated. but, practically forcing herself, she began to walk towards the swingset, trying to find her smile again. once she was not more than eight feet away from her friend's quickly moving figure, she spoke uh, hey, luna. she plastered on a timid, supposedly friendly smile, can i..join you? she thought for a second, i mean..it's okay if i can't. i have some studying i should probably do anyway ashley felt her cheeks turning red as she spoke. she hated making people do things..and in her mind, anything to request of someone was an inconvenience to them. |

[/div] tearing love apart ∞ the park seemed to get less and less active through the summer. a lot of people were out of town on vacation around this time, so there was less and less people showing up to use the playground or even around town at all. luna had only been on one vacation to disney land, and even that had only been a few days. she really wanted to travel, but she liked her place here. she got out of the house a lot, running around and doing stuff and keeping active. the thing was, everywhere she went she felt like she stood out. people her age were always in groups of friends and stuff, but she had never been one to stick to a certain group. she liked time to herself, because she didn't understand much of went on with people her age. they were always talking about parties and drugs and dating, and she'd neve experienced any of that. she was just the innocent luna.
awkwardness was not something that luna had ever truly felt. even when she was confused or had to ask for things, she was just her same old bubbly self. she was almost always smiling. hearing the familiar voice, she smiled widely as she kept swinging. hi, ashley! she exclaimed, hair covering her eyes for a moment before she started to move the opposite direction on the swing. she'd gotten used to ashley's kind of awkwardness, she was comfortable with anyone however they were. luna had never been one to judge. sure, you can join me. i'd love the company. pull up a swing. giggling, she tilted her head back to look up at the clouds as she swung, slowing down the swing a bit. how're you today, ash?
YAY, POST. (:

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] ALL I EVER WANTED WAS JUST TO MAKE YOU SEE The Words: enough The Outfit: click! The Notes (: ashley smiled when luna invited her to sit on the swing. she liked having just a few friends, ones that always made her day a little brighter. luna was always giggly, happy, and entertaining, three words that never have and probably never will describe ashley. the neuropsychology major found that she often chose efficiency over happiness, necessity over desire. from what she's noticed, it's easier for her to frown and push her way through life and achieve everything that she wants as opposed to smiling all the time and getting nowhere in life. as she's observed, the two can't intermingle. life was black and white, one way or the other.
she set her bag down on the woodchips, laying up against the thick metal pole that held up the swingset. ashley sat down on the tough, plastic seat of the swing, scooting back until she was more comfortable. how're you today, ash? |
[/i] a question she had expected and was prepared for. i'm fine, thanks she offered luna a small smile before looking down at her feet as they kicked up the small pieces of wood. she was wracking her brain for conversational things to bring up, discussion ideas of sorts. this was how ashley's mind worked; she didn't speak unless she had a well thought out, intricate statement to say. it was really quiet, and for some reason, that non-existant sound of silence was buzzing in her ears. ..how are you? ashley asked, glancing over at her friend again. she hoped that luna had better ideas for things to talk about than she did.[/div] [/center][/td][/tr][/td][/tr][/table][/center]

[/div] tearing love apart ∞ luna believed in the gray areas of the world. everything had exceptions, thus creating a gray area between the black and the white. she was one of those exceptions. she wasn't afraid to be different. she was happy, but luna still felt as if she was going somewhere in life. just because she wasn't corrupted to the point of not going back didn't mean she was immature. she was plenty mature. she just didn't focus her entire life around sex and drugs and drinking. there was so much more to the world than people liked to believe, and luna knew all about it. she liked to have adventures with everything she did. make the boring things entertaining and the entertaining things even better. there was no better way of life in luna's eyes. so many people just existed instead of living. luna wasn't one of them.
caring about how people were was something that luna did constantly. she was happy with just about anything, so she liked to make sure that others were happy as well. if they weren't, well, she would push to help them be. that's good! i'm doing great, thank you. please and thank you were something long forgotten by most teenagers. it was so hard actually finding people with manners that sometimes luna felt as if she was the only one with them. today i saw a bunny on my way here, though. it was just a baby and it was all alone. daddy tells me not to touch stray animals because their parents won't come back if i do, but i really wanted to help the poor bunny out. i might go back and keep it if it's still there later. i love bunnies. they're just so cute. silence wasn't something that luna kept around often. she tended to ramble, that was for sure.
SECOND ATTEMPT AT POSTING THIS, SUCCESS.
