[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] IT'S A LONG SHOT, BUT I SAY WHY NOT. IF I SAY FORGET IT I'LL KNOW THAT I'LL REGRET IT The Words: enough The Outfit: click! The Notes sorry it took so long.. olivia burton had never been one for long-term relationships. as a matter of fact, the last one that she had had was with owen, in high school. it had lasted a painful 3 years..half of which they felt pressured by their parents to stay together. after they broke up it was like an..anvil being lifted off of her chest. it was after that point that livia sort of found herself. she slept around, flirted all the time. the longest she stayed with one guy started at the club in the late hours one night, then lasted until after breakfast the next day. this was also the point when livia decided that her parent's opinion was crucial to her wellbeing. she had literally no skills that could support herself if she decided to defy them. her two lives truly began the day she turned twenty years old, the day when her parents told her that they had arranged for her and owen to be engaged and married. as much as livia wanted to simply say ' no' and walk away, she knew that she had no chance without her parents' money. that was the sole reason that at this very moment, her life existed in two realms. her parent's house and her house. well..it wasn't really her house anymore. considering she moved out.
olivia slipped on her black heels and picked up a pearl necklace, twisting it around her fingers before she grabbed the red clutch from her nightstand and exited her bedroom. somehow, she managed to walk down the flight of stairs to vinny's office without falling. his door was opened just a crack, so livia knocked twice before pushing it open a bit, standing in the doorway as she spoke. can i come in? she had a small smile on her lips. she leaned on the doorframe, crossing her arms in front of her. either way, i need some help getting this necklace on. she hung the pearls from her finger tips, waiting for his response. |

Today was one of those days where everything that could go wrong seemed to go wrong. First his lunch was wrong, then he spilled his Coke later, and now he was hearing the worst news of the day. He held the burner phone to his ear, rubbing his forehead as the man on the other end told him about what was wrong with the new shipment of heroin. This shipment was supposed to square Vinny's books for the next 6 months but it wasn't like he couldn't easily get another shipment, he just didn't want to deal with the smuggling all over again. The supplier of the heroin was suddenly getting cold feet, which didn't make sense seeing as how the drugs were already in the city and all that was needed was an exchange of payment for product. Vinny's man on the street was telling him everything the supplier had told him, that there was too much heat around the exchange, not enough planning, not enough money, to much money, the list went on. It was making VIncent rather suspicious, he needed a way to make sure none of this came back to him. Look, I don't care what he says, tell him that we had a deal and he doesn't want to be that guy known for backing out. The man then asked what Vinny wanted him to do. He let out a long sigh, this was the inevitable question he was always asked. Just get what we wanted. Basta fare quello che devi fare. Then he hung up.
He opened up the bottom drawer of his large, dark mahogany desk and dropped the phone into it. That was the best thing about burner phones, untraceable and could be easily destroyed. It was funny, the room was beautiful and yet it held so many dangers. Vinny had a few weapons stashed around the room. There was a letter opener shaped like a katana hidden in a Japanese history book, a 9mm Glock handgun sat in safe across the room in another drawr. There was even a sawed off double barreled shotgun that was hidden in his desk, right where he put his legs. He was deep in thought when Livia's voice brought him back to reality. He looked up at her and smiled, nodding at her. Well, how about I help you and we can be on our way. he said, more of a statement than an actual question. Vinny got up, walking over to Livia, plucking the pearls off her finger. He unded the clasp and held them out, ready to put them around her neck. So, did you decide where you want to go?
