YOU PUT YOUR ARM AROUND ME FOR THE FIRST TIME. The Words: not enough D: The Outfit: maybe laterrr The Notes Fear is a word that’s definition differs from person to person. To some, it’s that feeling when you see a spider, crawling on your wall. To others, it’s the fire that courses through your veins when you’re riding a motocycle or, maybe, a rollercoaster. to carina, fear rested deep inside the inner chambers of her heart, infecting the blood that kept her alive. this fear constantly coursed through her mind, infiltrating almost every thought. carina laid on the comfortable bed on her side, her eyes blinking open. the sun peaked through the partly open blinds, shining down in slim rays on the bed sheets. she looked at alek, laying beside her, his eyes shut, his chest rising and falling in sync with his breathing. it was in this man, in her perfect match, that her fear resided. she was afraid that he would leave her, she was afraid that he would find someone better than her. but mostly, she was afraid that he would reject her, that he would finally see how imperfect she was. her greatest fear was losing him.
carina bit her lip, shuffling a little closer to alek as quiet as was possible. she reached over slowly and lightly traced his jaw, pulling back her hand once she reached his chin. she smiled, craning her neck up to gently nuzzle her face into his neck. good morning, she whispered, breathing lightly. |

his old life had been a wreck.
and the sad part was that he still hadn't managed to kick the drugs that had taken over his life. well, not completely, at least. he no longer felt the overwhelming urge to smoke, but if he didn't do it at least a few times a month, he felt sickly and unwell. the worst part was that carina was making him want to quit cold turkey. she was so amazing, but there was no way she'd still love him if he was still addicted to weed and, well, some unmentionables. his eyes shifted over to the girl laying beside him. her eyes were fluttering; he hoped that meant she was having a good dream. the first day they had met was magical for him. when he went home that night he'd ended up painting a picture of her; alek just could not get her out of his head. it was maddening, almost.
he was a little surprised that she agreed to the date the next day as well. he figured she wouldn't come to the door, but there she was in all her glory. it was the beginning of a great thing and boy, he was glad his parents made him move here. sure, california was a lot different from london, but he was adjusting.
the next thing he knew the tiny girl beneath him stirred and nuzzled her way into his neck. alek could feel his heart begin to race as she breathed. 'oh, blimey. what if she leaves me? i'm nothing special, she could find a man like me anywhere. the only special thing about me is the accent, and there are millions of boys with one!'' of course, his insecurities were swept under the rug as he caught a look in her eyes. yeah, they were meant for each other.
“oh, hey. stop being adorable. it's unfair.” pause. "oh, no, you're a peng. you're so beautiful it hurts me. he murmured, tilting his head ever so slightly to give her a peck on the lips.
NOTES squeeeeeeeeeeeeee. peng = sexy lady.

YOU PUT YOUR ARM AROUND ME FOR THE FIRST TIME. The Words: enoughh The Outfit: maybe laterrr The Notes perfect a smile spread on carina's lips when she heard him speak. she loved being able to wake up every day that she wanted to, to watch him smile, hear him speak, feel his lips on hers. it was the perfect beginning to everyday, that little extra push to help her sleep at night. it felt like if she didn't get her daily dose of alek, the day was a little more tough to get through. he was sort of like her..drug. not that carina would ever make that analogy. since alek, just the mention of drugs got her upset. when she found out that he used, she had been broken hearted; nearly pushed to the breaking point. she loved him, with all her heart. to know that the one person that held her heart completely was hurting himself..no words describe the pain that she felt.
and then it got better. he stopped using; he was smiling more. after that, carina couldn't stop being around him. she loved that he quit for her..that he cared about her enough to give up the thing that he loved the most for her. like she was replacing the drugs. oh, hey. stop being adorable. it's unfair |
she felt her cheeks go a pink with embarrassment. oh, no, you're a peng. you're so beautiful it hurts me. she laughed a bit i'm sorry..i'll try my best she closed her eyes when he kissed her, but his lips left hers too fast. she leaned back in, pressing her lips against his. she smiled again, her lips still on his, her hand reaching up to twist in his hair. there was something magical that happened when they were together, like a spark of electricity started a fire. she pulled away, looking into his eyes can you stop being so perfect? she spoke softly, her voice barely audible even to her own ears. alek felt a shiver ripple down his body as the femme pressed her lips against his for a second time. then she tangled her hand in his hair, which prompted him to run his through her dark brown locks. her hair was another thing he loved about her; it was so beautiful and it always smelled like fruit. that was one of the first things he had noticed about her that day; her hair was slightly touslled by the wind. it was a brilliant effect. and then he caught a hold of her eyes. it was those hazel eyes that drew him in. then everything else just fell into place. at first, he hated the sudden change of california, but he was glad he moved here. if he hadn't, he wouldn't have met carina, and... he felt like they were just meant for each other.
"oh, darling. i'm far from perfect." he murmured, moving his free hand to cup her face and pull her a little closer. this was how he liked it. alek's body was warm all over. their limbs were tangled up underneath the covers. "how have your lessons been?" he asked quietly, scooting up the bed a bit so he could rest against the headboard. "i really want to see you dance again. you're brilliant at that, you know. dancing. but there are a lot of things you're brilliant at." there was the slightest bit of innuendo underneath that, but his phrase was mostly innocent.
Alek's hand trailed down her cheek and ran over her stomach, closing his eyes in content. "i love you." he murmured. NOTES a little short :C

YOU PUT YOUR ARM AROUND ME FOR THE FIRST TIME. The Words: enoughh The Outfit: maybe laterrr The Notes perfect(: carina smirked lightly oh, darling. i'm far from perfect. she bit her lip when he cupped her cheek in his hand. well your the closest i've ever seen she murmured. when he scooted up the bed, she stayed put, waiting until he stopped moving to scoot up herself, her head now resting on his shoulder. she was laying on her back now, her hands now playing with the bottom hem of alek's shirt, twisting it in her fingers then releasing it. she repeated the motion over and over again how have your lessons been? |
she shrugged they're okay. pretty much the same. she looked up at him when he spoke again, her eyes watching his lips move. really want to see you dance again. you're brilliant at that, you know. dancing. but there are a lot of things you're brilliant at. she laughed, a smile spreading on her face. she loved that he was so interested in her dancing. it made her feel like she was actually appreciated for doing the creative art, that she didn't just do it for the money. that's how most things these days felt, like people only did the things that were necessary, they never did anything for pure enjoyment. and carina, up on that stage, felt..perfect. well..nearly perfect. you know, dancing doesn't have to be on a stage. it can be anywhereshe felt his hand touch her cheek, down her neck, and then across her stomach. a sort of electricity sparked under her skin, following his fingers and they traced down her body. the moment he touched her stomach, she bit the inside of her cheek, her smile fading. she had been keeping a secret from alek..something that she was terrified to tell him. she missed her monthly visit, she had been getting sick in the mornings, craving specific foods a little bit more. her emotions have been even just a little more high-strung than usual, tears appearing in conversations more often. of course, carina had added all of the pieces together, and it didn't take long for her to come up with a conclusion. pregnancy. at first she denied the thought immediately. she couldn't be pregnant, could she? wasn't it normal for especially active dancers to miss a period every now and then? but of course, the idea lingered in her mind, pretty soon invading nearly all of her thoughts. she was scared to take a test because the confirmation seemed inevitable. but she was more afraid because of alek. how would he respond? would he leave her? what if he hated her? she couldn't handle the thought of not having him in her life..it terrified her. "that may be, but i like it when you get up on stage. you look so happy." alek noticed the sudden change of expression as he ran his hand over her belly. his eyebrows furrowed slightly as he gave her a quizzical look. "what's wrong, hon? are you okay? do you feel sick? is your stomach upset?" the worry was etched all across his face as he suddenly sat up and cradled her belly. alek had been with her yesterday as well and couldn't remember if she had eaten anything that would upset her stomach. or maybe she was getting sick! that must be it. he was a horrible boyfriend for allowing her to get as sick. 'suck it up, it's not your fault if she gets sick.' he knew he should have believed the voice in his head, but for some reason he was stuck on the idea that he was a horrible boyfriend for letting her get sick.
"do you need some medicine, carina?" he asked quietly, moving away from her to get to the medicine cabinet in the restroom. the idea of pregnancy never crossed his mind. they used condoms, but there was the possibility of one of them breaking, and they just never noticed. not that having a baby would be a bad thing. in fact, the idea of becoming a father was a wonderful concept to him, he just knew money would be tight for a little while until his art seriously started getting noticed.
back home, people really enjoyed his art and bought it quite a bit, but here? it seemed as if everyone was painting now. he saw the same old things; old cartoons, music legends, cats, but he painted what he saw. if she saw a little old lady down at the market, he'd probably paint her. it wasn't what most people bought, but he enjoyed doing it. the voice of his girlfriend brought him out of his thoughts as he turned around, a tiny bottle in his hand. he gave her a sheepish grin. "i'm sorry, i must have, what do you call it, spaced out?"
felt like going simple. :3

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: dddddd; border: #cccccc solid 8px; width: 420px; padding: 15 5 15 5px;] DO YOU REMEMBER, WE WERE SITTING THERE BY THE WATER. YOU PUT YOUR ARM AROUND ME FOR THE FIRST TIME. The Words: enoughh The Outfit: maybe laterrr The Notes perfect(: carina nodded a little when he said she looked happy onstage. i am happy there. it's sort of..my second sanctuary. she smiled, hoping he would know exactly where her first sanctuary was; with him. it didn't matter if they were on the couch, in the bed, on the bus, at the park. if he was there, she was happy. no exceptions. but now alek was upset, his eyebrows furrowed, talking quickly. he asked what was wrong, if she was sick, if her stomach hurt. she shook her head, but didn't open her mouth, afraid that if she tried to say something it would come out wrong. when alek got up and made his way to the medicine cabinet, her mind was jumbled with a million thoughts. should she tell him? should she wait? maybe she was just psyching herself out, making herself think that she was pregnant when it was really stress. carina opened her mouth as alek's back was turned, somehow able to get words to fit together. no..alek, i'm okay she gave him a little, half-genuine smile, trying to convince him. she laughed a bit when he told her that he spaced out. it's okay when he got closer, she took the bottle from his hands and set it down on the little nightstand by the bed and then scooted herself off the bed, standing in front of him. she reached up, wrapping her arms around his neck, kissing him quickly and lightly you worry too much.
of course, behind her words, there was a little hypocrisy. carina was well-known by many for excessively worrying; alek was her more calm, serene, and composed side. she worried about everything, ranging from finding the best sale for milk to finding the perfect music for her next audition. in all honesty, she spreading herself too thin across the board, trying to accomplish anything and everything necessary in the shortest time period possible. even alek worried her, as she saw him working so hard, painting the most beautiful things she had seen, but not getting near as much recognition he deserves. she knew that he worried about it, even if he didn't show it around her. that was one of the thousands of things that she admired about him; he never seemed to let anything really worry him, at least on the surface. enough about me. how are you? she let go of his neck and took a step back, running her hand through her hair. the feigned smile was once again on her lips as she looked at him. |
