Keela was bored. There was nothing on T.V, she didn't feel like reading, and Julia was being good and was playing with some toys on the floor. She had been living in Buffalo for only about a month now, and she didn't have a job yet. Through she didn't really want one until Julia was school age, Keela knew she were need one sooner then that. She was sitting on the couch, staring at the T.V. She sighed and turned her head to look at her daughter. Both Keela and Julia were still in their P.J. through it was the afternoon.
Keela bit her lip, thinking. 'Maybe a walk to the park would be fun.' Well, there was nothing else to do, so Keela got up from the couch and walked into her small bedroom. She went to her dresser and pulled out black pants, and a white and black striped shirt. After putting them on, she out of her room and went into Julia's. She pulled out a light pink dress with red writing that said, "Mommy's little angel." She also got pink shorts. She left Julia's room and picked up her one year old daughter. "Let's go to the park," Keela said, getting Julia dressed
A few minutes later, once both Keela was Julia were dressed and clean, Keela was pulling out the stroll and baby bag from the closet. Through she always made sure the bag always had everything she were need when she left the house, Keela checked to make sure everything was in the bag. Diapers, money, water bottles were all in the bag. Keela smiled as she put the bag on the stroller, then picked put Julia and put her in the stroll, belting Julia in.
A little while later, Keela and Julia were at the park. There were a few people there, mostly parents with their kids. Keela went over to the baby swings and, taking Julia out of the stroll, put her in one of the swings. Julia giggled as Keela pushed the swing.

ivan was truely in need for an inspiration, he sat at the park absolutely clueless on what to do, he was on the same rusty old bench he was on yesterday as he tried to think of something, his forehead throbbed from the endless calculations and physics rules he had to follow, his dream job was almost in reach, yet so far away.
he frowned at the sketch pad on his lap, being held together by the ever so curling spiral, he had a spark of imagination, and then he lost it. ivan was working himself out too much and he needed a few hours of relaxation, but he was too caught up in his work to even think about what he should do. he thought deeply and deeply, trying to think of something. A few people walked by and were having a casual conversation about the time, It was already brunch. ivan stood up and walked to a nearby coffee shop to cheer him up, and the coffee indead did, he then noticed a park with kids playing on it, as well as a farely young women pushing her kid on the swing, ivan sat down on the bench and began to sketch the scene, he wasnt much of an artist, but his major required much artistic talent and creativity. him, being caught up in the drawing didnt notice a kid pulling on his shirt asking him to help tie her shoe. "Well of course." he chimed with his deep slavic accent.
notes: sorry for the rush.

Keela pushed Julia a few more times before the little girl wanted out. Keela smiled at her daughter and slowed the swing down. Taking Julia out of the swing, Keela sat her down on the grass. Julia stood up and started to walked towards the playground, Keela following close behind. As Keela followed Julia around the playground, she looked around at the other people were doing. There was a little boy sliding down a slide, his mom at the bottom to caught him. There was a little girl on the monkey bars, her mother close by. Keela smiled at all this as she climbed the stairs to the top of the play equipment.
At this height Keela could see more of the park. There were a few kids in the field near the playground playing tag. There was a little kid talking to an older man. Keela watched for a few seconds as the man bended down to tie the little girl shoes. Keela turned away and focused her attention on Julia on again. Julia was sitting at the top of a slide, looking up at her mother. Keela smiled at her daughter, sitting down and picking Julia up to sit her on Keela's lap. Then they went down the slide. Julia laughed and clapped her hands. "'Gain," she cried.
So, once more Keela and Julia climbed the stairs and went down the slide again. They went down the slide a few more times before Keela got tried of it. She picked up Julia and went back to the swing, where Keela had left the stroller. Putting Julia in, Keela walked over to the bench she had seen the man tied the little girl shoe. Keela sat down and started getting out a few toys for Julia to play with.

ivan sat upright, and sighed as he saw the little kid run off towards the slide, the young woman he was sketching was now sitting next to him, but he didnt want to make such a big fuss over it, as he quickly scrapped his sketch, throwing it into a nearby trashcan. he then fluidly flipped to his assignment, still on the drawing board was plump out of ideas. and to think this assignment was to be finished and ready for publishing within the next two days, with the good looking young single mom sitting next to him ivan was dead silent as his shyness was taking a part of him. he put his sketch book away, trying to relax and get some rest he opened his bag on the ground, giving the world a peek at what he wanted to do for a living, to become the next engineering architect.
his instruments and rulers along with endless notes on material mathematics where quite a sight, even to himself. but he didnt know what to do next, he paused and bit his lip as he closed his bag, leaning back on the bench and looking up to the clear blue sky, "Nice weather, we're having." he forced out, trying to get a conversation going. he then waited patiently for a response, if he was to get one anyway.

Keela was putting the toys she had pulled out of the baby bag on Julia's lap when she heard a voice speak. She looked over shoulder at the man who just spoke. Keeping one hand one the stroller, she looked around, not just at the playground, but the whole park. It was a nice day, perfect weather. The sky was clear and there was a nice, cool breeze. Keela was grateful for the nice weather, if it was raining she would still be at home, bored out of mind.
"Yes," she answered. "It is nice." She shifted a bit on the bench to get comfortable, through she didn't plan on sitting there for a long, ten minutes at the most. Acting like she was looking at the kids and parents on the playground, she studied the man. He seemed harmless enough, but Keela still keep her guard up. She had learned the hard way that harmless looking people could cause the most harm.

smiled gently at her response, lucky he didnt strike out. He noticed her stroller and her gaze around the park. He paused and waited for him to get studied, he was used to it, his large figure was a bit menacing to some. but here in america things were different, everyone trusted each other. he thought for a moment and did not know what to say next, he saw a dropped toy and he leaned over and picked it up, "This must be yours." he picked it up and gently set it on the bench for her reach.
he was quiet and didnt know what to say, he was actually nervous as well. he wondered if she noticed he had tied some little girls shoe, would she think that he had a kid already? she looked like she had kids, but he was not very offended by it, people make mistakes or get caught in bad situations. and he wasnt going to judge people just for that. he continued to have a small smile as he looked at the playground and watch the kids play, he was sound quite stalkerish but he wasnt that type, he enjoyed kids.

Keeping one hand one the stroller and watching Julia out of the corner of her eye, Keela watched the kids on the playground. She liked watching parents interacted with there kids. She was watching a mom with two kids when she heard the man sitting beside her speak. She turned her head to look at him. He was setting a toy on the bench. She smiled at him. "Thanks," she said, picking up the toy. She put the toy back in the bag, whenever Julia were throw a toy, Keela were put it back in the bag, figuring the little didn't want to play with it any more.
Keela bit her lip, looking back at the parents and kids on the playground. She didn't really want to talk to anyone, but at the same time, she didn't want to seem rude. She shifted so her upper body was facing the man. "I'm Keela, by the way," she said quietly. Still, she kept one hand on the stroller.

ivan smiled and replied "No worries." with a chuckle. He then noticed who she was looking at, the play ground, and with his rather young wisdom he figured out who her daughters were by facial features and the movement of her head as she followed the kids, most people wouldnt notice this, but him coming from the most active country regarding crime, he grew up with these skills. but he didnt say anything, and he had to be careful on what he did say.
"keela, thats a very interesting name, your name means beauty, and you seem to fit it very well." he was brave with that statement, and he wanted to take it back. "I have a rather blunt name, ivanov it is." his english wasnt perfect, but he was working on it, but his accent would be hard to control. he then shifted himself to face keela, he waited for her to say something patiently

"Thank you," Keela said after the man said she had an interesting name. Through she couldn't remember much about her parents, them having died when she was only seven, she did however, remember them telling her that they like unique names, and Keela was definitely an unique name. Then she realized what he had said after that, and she could feel a slight blush creeping up. She turned her head away, and instead looked at Julia. The little girl was happily playing with her toys.
Keela looked back at the man when he spoke again. "Ivanov," she repeated. "What is that? German or something?" Keela asked.

he was rather impressed when she turned away, seeming to hide something, but she turned back to him asking the question of his lineage. "its from a long lineage of russian actually, but your guess was close enough." he said with a slight chuckle as he put one arm over the bench as he somewhat tried to get comfortable, and he caught a glimpse of what Keela looked at to avoid him, her daughter.
he smiled though, he didnt need to know that, but he was figuring her out slowly. he didnt show much emotion, and the only emotion he did show was sadness and boredom, but he kept a straight face most of the time. he readied himself for the next question she might throw at him, just like an exam he chuckled softly at the thought.

Keela nodded as she listened to Ivanov speak. "So, you're Russian...or part Russian," she asked. Keela herself suren't really sure what she was. She knew she had some French in her, but that was about it. Her parents never told her, or if they did, she couldn't remember. She bit her lip, thinking about her parents. Sometimes she wished they were still alive, still here with her. But she knew that could never happen and she needed to focus on the present. With that throught in mind, she shook her head slightly to clear it of any throughts of her parents.
Keela looked over her shoulder at Julia, making sure the little girl was still there in her stroller, happily playing. Satisfied that Julia was fine, she looked back at Ivanov.

breathed a slight sigh as he replied "born and raised in russia, and gambling my luck here in america." he finished with a sigh as he remembered his past, but he didn't want to go into details.
he then nodded as she looked away to check up on her kid, she seemed very protective of her, but that was a given to any mother even animal or not. but he needed to think of something to say and it quickly came as fast as he said it "hows life for you here?" he asked rather bluntly. he then waited for her to respond.

Keela tilted her head. "What's it like in Russia?" she asked. She liked learning about other places. She may not always agree with the culture, but she liked learning about them never the less. She was beginning to feel a bit more comfortable around Ivanov, but enough to tell him her life history, but enough that she no longer felt like bolting or something similar.
Keela sighed when Ivanov asked her how her life was living here. "It's been O.K. I've been living here for only about a month," she answered, shrugging. She bit her lip, hoping he wouldn't asked why she had moved to Buffalo. She didn't like talking about her past, to anyone.

He sighed lightly as she asked him the question he wanted to avoid "its not as pretty as it looks, at least where i lived at." he put coldly, he caught a flashback as the words ringed through his head, and he snapped out of it. he did so just in time to here her response to his question.
but she seemed held back at something, just like he was so he didnt want to press her into telling him something that she doesnt want to. so he calmly replied "that's interesting, I came here as well very recently, to attend college so i can become an architectural engineer." he paused as he was thinking whether to ask if she was in college yet, but she seemed too young.

Keela nodded, understanding Ivanov didn't want to talk about his life in Russia. At least he wouldn't ask her about her past. She felt herself relax a bit at this thought. Her past was something she wanted to forget, through with Julia around it was hard. Keela loved her daughter more then anything in the world, Keela just hated how she got Julia. With Julia on her mind again, Keela turned slightly to look at Julia. The little girl was still playing with her toys. She stopped for a second to look over at Keela, almost like making sure her mom was still there on the bench. Keela smiled at Julia before turning back to Ivanov.
"How long is 'recently?'" Keela asked, then added "How do you like your classes?" She kept a small smile on her face, but deep down, she felt a bit of envy. When she was younger, she would dream of going to a college or university, make something of herself. But that all changed when she got pregnant with Julia. Mostly, she had forgot about those old dreams, but now hearing about Ivanov being in college, well it brought those old dreams back to her. At nineteen, she could have been in her first or second year of college or university. She sighed quietly to herself and looked back at the playground.
