Who thought he'd end up being the teacher? For sakes he hadn't even graduated yet. Did high schools even allow semi university students to come in and teach class? Probably not, but his connection with the front desk lady managed to push all that aside. No, ew, he wasn't his lover. She was his aunt. Family always did come first in the line of things. The situation was pretty close to patronage, which was ironic, considering he was invited to come and speak about the "dark ages" of Quebec. Oh how fun. He could see the students, students he went to school with just a few years ago. Yikes. Hopefully nobody he knew would show up. That could be embarrassing. Not to mention awkward. Maybe even a bit silly. And awkward. Did he forget to include awkward?
Standing outside of the highschool with a suit and a small briefcase, Brandon prepared himself for the onslaught of teachers who'd all flock to him in an attempt to say hi and began walking. He had chosen to come a bit late, enough to avoid most of the hallway wanderers but not so he'd be horrifically late for his class or anything. The room he was booked in was 201, and the class was a mix of seniors and juniors. Which meant he had about zero percent chance to avoid seeing his former "schoolmates" from two years ago. Maybe it would have been safer to post on Facebook or something he was coming today. Next time, definitely.
Making his way up the stairs and turning right (just like how he remembered two years ago), Brandon, or Mr. Layfon in this case, stopped before opening the door to th-his classroom. People were already in there, he could tell by the noises of airplane throwing and spitball launching. It could have been just his imagination but- Taking a deep breath Brandon pushed on the door handle and plunged into the classroom, not daring to look at any of the students sitting before him. He dropped his briefcase on the floor beside the "teacher's" table and took a moment to fix his tie. Eventually, with shaking eyes he looked up. Oh gaw- Holy crap, that was a lot of students.
